End of Another Year on to 2024

Hi there everyone! Hard to believe another year has passed us by....where did it go???? Seems like just yesterday it was JUNE!!!

I have not done a lot of blogging this year. Guess if you look at the side panel, this would be my 10th blog for this year 2023. Been a little bit lazy, oh, been making lots of cards, but just plain lazy putting them on this blog. I shall try better in 2024.
Not sure what the new year will bring, none of us do, but it sure is good to know we have Jesus to lean on as we travel through this life's journey following in His footsteps. I feel bad for those that don't have that faith, maybe some, through the storms of life will ask Jesus into their lives. I guess for some it takes longer to hear the message of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified and let it settle in their hearts.

I have been watching the "Chosen" Sunday nights and the "Bible" on the History Channel during the Christmas season. I've also been reading through Matthew, Mark, Luke and John these last couple of months and the miracles and healings that Jesus preformed all go hand in hand. I wonder where I would be, if I lived back then, would I be a believer or an unbeliever??? Jesus said, "Blessed are those who believe and have not seen" They saw and yet they believed not!!! I get so mad at those Pharisees and Sadducees, they were so blinded by the devel. They saw, and still hated Jesus and what he did....they were Sad.u.see!!!!

So today I took a little trip to "Kwik Trip" for some gas and "Pic n Sav" for some UNO pizza from Chicago. I got the cheeseburger flat bread (meh, not so great). Think I will freeze the leftovers and try the cheese pizza tomorrow, hopefully that is better. If not, I shall not waste $$$ (2/$12) on UNO again and just get a local pizza from here in Appleton. Maybe it is better to get UNO straight from UNO in Chicago.

Nothing much is going on in January. I do have a few Dr. appointments. A bone density test on the 4th and another blood pressure check on the 10th. Hopefully the pills are working, and my bones are at the right density. Hopefully no more appointments till April and then the A1C is due.

Well, time to close here, I don't lead a very exciting life, maybe that is why I don't blog as much. I often wonder how people that Vlog on You Tube can possibly do vlogs every day and not run out of things to vlog about. But there are quite a few people I follow that have lots of content that makes their vlogs interesting. If you ever get a chance, go to "Chateau Diaries" or "Escape to Rural France" or "The Pethericks" or "Sadie from France" or "A Wonderful Life" or "Life of Ryan" to name a few. They are all enjoyable to watch.

Hope you have a great 2024 with lots of blessings!! Cheers to you all ~ Louise

He is Sitting at the Feet of Jesus Now

He left me to be with Jesus, July 25, 2021 I sure am missing him very much. We would have been married 48 years this month, August 27, 2021. He was at Misti Arbor Assisted Living for 21 days, 6 of those days he was in Hospice. He was in a lot of pain with many health issues. He died of Ministrokes. I am having a Celebration of Life, August 28, 2021, it will be the day after our anniversary.
This is the invite, I put this on Facebook and will be sending these to people that don't have computers or are not on Facebook.
This picture was taken back in Ladysmith, probably between 1977-1985. He loved music. He also played the piano, sax and keyboard.
This is one of my favorite pictures of JP. That old model T dump truck, never got to restore it, but it did run. We eventually donated it to "Rawhide" when we decided to move into town and leave our county home on 20 acres. I miss that time of our life and I miss this JP.
This picture is in the scrapbook I put together when JP raced at Waukegan Speedway. Back in 71-73. This was his favorite picture. If the driver won the hot lap he got to drive his car around the track with the American flag.

It is so hard for me to believe he is gone. I might be watching TV or on the computer, and suddenly I feel like I need to get up and go make him supper and he will be home pretty soon from work....not sure what that is all about. But then I remember, oh that's right he is not coming home.

Today I was cleaning up his room.....such a mess, he saved everything, tracts, bible studies, calendars, bibles, his study notes from books, bible and sermons. He was a Bible scholar I guess, he really knew God's Word.

I probably won't be blogging for awhile, have much to do. So many things need to be done when a spouse dies. Not even sure I got everything done. But he has only been gone 13 days, so I have time.

See you later, take care and enjoy your husband or wife....life is very short.

June....How Fast Will It Go????

Hi there everyone. How you all doing?? My goodness it was warm today...in the 90's for the next couple of days. I don't do very well with 90 degree weather. If the weather could just stay in the 70's, I would be a happy camper. Guess there is no perfect place to live....except for Heaven, then it won't matter what the weather will be like, because we will be so concentrated on Jesus!!!!
Some flowers from my garden, above are my Allium's. I should get some more of these guys. I sure do like them. Below are my pretty pink/white tulips. As they begin to open, they almost look like roses. So pretty!!!
Below is a picture of a picnic bench at Erb Park. I have found my quiet place. I get 11 hours a week now to get away for "respite time". A caregiver comes to the house, giving me time away from taking care of JP. They will wash my dishes, floor, vacuum, give JP a shower and wash his hair. Fold towels, which there are many, cause I seem to be washing towels constantly. The towels end up on the bathroom floor a lot, because of JP's incontinence. They also will take him on the front porch for fresh air, just kind of filling in for me.
I had a different lady yesterday. I was told she was a "powerhouse" and that she was, she did things I didn't even ask her to do, I was amazed. Probably out of the 3 caregivers.....she is the best. We are getting a new one this Monday. So that will be 4 ladies.

So, when I go to the park, I take a note book and pen, Bible, a Billy Graham devotional, and write away. I have stopped at Jacobs Meat Market for a hot lunch or Kwik Trip for 2 pieces of chicken/chips and and cold drink. Even though there are lots of people there, it is still very peaceful. God knows I need some peace.

I can only spend 1 hour there or less, cause then I need to rush to the store and get back by 4pm, so the caregiver could leave on her shift. This Monday and Wednesday I will get 8 hours and 3 hours on Thursday. I guess I got a raise in hours....lol! From 9 hours to 11 hours free time.....YAY!!!!!!

This is such a pretty park....we are going on 30 years in this town and we very seldom used the park....always too busy  guess. Now they let people walk their dogs through the park. When we had Hyko and Kylie...doggies were not allowed. We could only walk around the park on the street!!!!

See the cute card to the right? "If you're feeling blue....try painting yourself a different color". I did not make it....but, think I will try, I have the birdie, just would have to color it and write in the saying. Guess, when I get "a round tuit" I will try making it....lol!

Well JP had a Pet Scan and liver panel today, to see if he has cancer and if the cancer in his eye did or did not spread through his body. If that is the case, no cancer in his body, then our next appointment will be in Green Bay at St. Vincent's and he will have the surgery on his eye.

JP is not doing all that good, all his health issues are getting him down, many times he say's he want's to quit. He is at a place where he may be put in an assisted living or nursing home and he will get 24/7 help. It is getting harder to care for him now. He does not get a lot of sleep and neither do I as I am up with him till sometimes 4 am. Sometimes his sleeping pill does not kick in cause he seems to fight it and gets a lot of arm pains that last 15-20 minutes. Yeah, it is tough to watch at times cause he will hit his arm 4-5 times and moan and groan, scream and shout!!!!

Well, I think I will close here for now, I want to go to YouTube and watch a few of my favorite YouTuber people with Chateaus in France, my get away places. So you all take care and keep looking up....I do believe....better days are coming!!! Cheers ~ Louise

It's All About Jesus

Hi there everyone....hope you are having a good day. Hope your Resurrection Sunday was a blessing to you and your family. Our Sunday was quiet as usual. Dinner was pork roast, apple sauce, oven fries, asparagus and beans. Cheese cake for dessert....yumm!

So this post is going to be about Jesus, nothing more and nothing less. I think I have been silent too long.....no more!! Here are a few signs, pictures and yes, some cards.
I saw this poster on Pinterest and just had to have it. But, isn't it true? If the Bible, God's Word, was still allowed in schools, perhaps there would be less killings in schools too. In some places it is not even safe to go to school....sad how this world has kicked Jesus out of schools and EVEN some churches!!! What is this world coming to??? Even so, COME LORD JESUS!!!
The above picture is hanging in my front room. It was given to me 32 years ago, when JP and I lived in Ladysmith, WI. We were involved in a Crisis Pregnancy Center of which was also a part of a Salvation Army Service Unit. Also involved, a prison ministry, food and clothing ministry, a Church Ministry Outreach and many other things too numerous to mention. We even took in a 19 year old and mentored him, he got saved and now 32 years later, still serves the Lord along with his family.

Can you see in this picture how Jesus grieves over the aborted baby? How sad, his helpless creations being murdered..........sacrificed for convenience sake.
What is a post without a few cards. No I did not make these. But one of these days I will. I do have this embossing folder....perhaps this will be next year's Easter card.
William Booth was a very Godly man.....starting the Salvation Army with the help of God. His words are very true for even today. Can you see this happening now???
I love this picture, Jesus helping Joseph. Baby Jesus picks up 3 spikes and the cross is in the shadow of his body. A single picture, worth a million words.
Here is something else to think about....Jesus died for our soul, the soldier died for our freedom. How dare ANYONE take our Freedoms away. As for our souls, we belong to Jesus and NO ONE has a right to take that from us!!! God said it, I believe it and that is all there is to it!!!!!

So Jesus has been a part of my life for many, many years. I gave my heart to Jesus when I was 7 yrs old. I got up every Sunday, got ready to go to Sunday School and church (by myself). My mother and father would stay home. When I came home from church, my mom would say, "What did you learn today?" I would tell her about Jesus and show her the pictures I drew. Eventually she started to go to church too. I guess back then I was witnessing to my mother....so very, very innocent.

I could go on with my journey with God and what he has done for me....but I am sure you would get bored. We all have a story to tell on how God has directed us in many ways, but also how we have taken steps without him and landed in a ditch. Sometimes, those ditches were hard to escape. But when we looked unto JESUS, He helped us out.....thank God, his eye is always on us, guiding and directing our every step till the day we die.

Well, time to close, need to go make some Bullet proof "Keto" coffee. You have a great day and keep looking up....better days are coming for sure!!!!! Cheers ~ Louise

JP's 71st. Birthday!!!

Hi there everyone. Hope you are enjoying May....it's going quite fast isn't it? Well, we celebrated JP's 71st birthday on Wednesday....just him and I. His brother called in the morning and sent a card also. This is the card I gave JP....a vintage boy wishing him a Happy Birthday. He wondered who that was, and if that was him?!?! NO JP....not you!!! I didn't make it specifically for him, it's just one of the many cards I've made, that I happened to like, so I gave it to him.
This is the present I gave him, you probably have seen it on TV. Got it for $40, it has the whole Bible on it and plays continuously till you stop it or change the verse or chapter. It also has some meditation songs on it. I am sure JP will not listen to the songs, but I will. Sorry the picture is so blurry...but you get the drift.
It's King James Version. So JP likes that, and the voice of the reader has a slight English accent....which I like. Easy listening.
I bought JP this little 6" New York Cheese Cake from Festival Foods. Lite a candle and he blew it out....make a wish, I said, and he gave me the stink eye and said that was superstition!!! Oh geez Jay.....then name a blessing!!!
This sure was a yummy cheese cake, will buy this again. Only $6.99. It was on sale....so I am not sure what the regular price was....but for a birthday cake for two...not bad.
See the cards in the back? The one on the left is the one I gave him...the middle one, his brother gave him, the one on the right, our insurance man gave.
So here we are, piece's of cake cut with strawberries and whip cream. No calories here, right????
This is what is left.....actually half of that cake left, JP had another piece last night and this afternoon....probably another piece tonight. OOOOO and I have to have a piece too!!!

Tomorrow I am going to a plant sale, hope I can find the same tomato plants I got last year.....they were the best tomatoes ever!!! "Beef Steak", the plants got SO BIG and had over 50 tomatoes, that was 3 plants. Maybe this year I will get 2 plants.....it was a very good year for tomatoes!!!

I think we are going to have a nice weekend....so I may work in the yard and try and clean things up a bit. Bring my ceramic animals out from the shed. There's enough for me to do....maybe too much. If I take a little bit at a time, it won't be bad, but I want it all done right away. So I can enjoy the summer, is that possible???

Time to close here...the Schwan's Man will be coming soon and Hockey is tonight, the Vegas Golden Knights and Winnipeg Jets....it should be a good game!! Kylie wants to go for a walk too.

Talk to you all later, keep looking up cause better days are coming, whether here, there, or in the air!!! Cheers ~ Louise

PS How do you like my new background.....I needed a change and a new look. You may see me change the background many times. BlogSpot was so limited in their designs, Glad I found this site. I have about 26 new backgrounds to try...so stay tuned!!!

Almost Another 10 Days Have Passed

Hi there everyone. Thought I better do a post...it's almost another 10 days since the last one. Not exactly sure where these days are going, but they sure are flying by. I could understand if we were on a great vacation to someplace exotic, but no, we are not. Just home-bound with no place to go. Many issues stand in our way. Money is the #1 issue for sure, need I say more???

So we make the best with what we have and go on from there. My little world revolves around my home anyways, so here is where my vacation time is. Going out in the back yard, sitting on the front porch, or down in the basement making cards, playing with my flowers and plants, listening to my water fountains and trying to avoid mosquitoes. Ish I hate them. Did you know it is the female that bites, first she numbs the spot with her saliva then pokes you till she finds the vein...and sucks out the blood. I found a post about mosquitoes and will post it here in the next few days.

I am  now going to show you some before and after pictures of the neighbors fence.....it took over a year for the finished look, but I guess it was worth the wait. I guess, I guess. I disliked having to look out my kitchen window and seeing all their junk....but now, I just see my junk and to tell you the truth, it is more pleasant looking out my kitchen window.
The above picture still shows their old green fencing with all their stuff...the jungle gym, brown house, purple dinosaur and a bunch of building stuff. The neighbor sold that fencing and the buyer took it down.
Here is a shot from another angle....all their stuff. Beyond their fence is my snow fence which will be replaced with a wooden fence by Habitat for Humanity this September....I can hardly wait.
I bought some bamboo last year and finally put the fencing up this year to camouflage all their stuff...but you can still see it. It did help for a little while.
Here you see behind my bamboo fencing is their 6 foot fencing....I actually love it and it gives much privacy. If the dumb mosquitoes would leave me alone I could sit out there and read my Bible.

So there you have it....instead of "As the World Turns" we have "As the Fence Turns" hahahahahaha!! Do you see my little solar fountains? Like when the sun shines and my fountains sprinkle water.

Well, time to close here. I mentioned in my last post, I had some exciting news to share with you....I think I will wait on that....maybe in August I will share the good news. Hold on.....it's coming. In the mean time keep looking up ~ better days are coming. Cheers ~ Louise

SATURDAY....YaYYYYYYY!!!!

Hi there everyone. Hope your weekend is starting off good!! Have you ever tried to find some funny pictures....and none of them were very funny?? That's what happened for me tonight. I wanted to do a new post using a funny picture, but this is all I could find. Oh well....now that it is actually Saturday morning. I can look forward to sleeping in, probably won't hit the pillow till 2:30am. Yay!!!
Not much has been going on here. Just trying to enjoy the summer and what is left of it. My flowers are doing great and I do enjoy looking at them everyday. Been making teas with my Hibiscus plant, Lemon Mint in the front yard, Bee Balm and Hyssop tea in the back yard. All 4 are really great and each one has some really good health benefits.

My husband likes the Hyssop tea because it is mentioned in the Bible. Hyssop has a kind of licorice taste. Bee Balm attracts the bees and butterflies for the nectar and the leaves can be dried to prepare bergamot tea. The native Americans shared this tea with the early settlers, who then used it as a substitute when imported tea became scarce after the Boston tea party.

I take the flowers of my Hibiscus plant, rinse them and put them in a hot pot of water. I have talk about the Hibiscus tea in a previous post. The Lemon Mint tea is just as it says...a lemony mint taste. I have some drying on the front porch and plan to get some more dried by the end of this month.

I am getting a few cucumbers from the garden, no tomatoes as yet. It looks like my onions are not doing so good again this year. Oh well.

Don't have a lot of plans for today....maybe work on some cards and get a few new things into my Etsy store. I have been "out to lunch" for the last couple of weeks so to speak....so I better get some things listed, people will think I closed shop...lol!

You all have a great weekend and keep looking up! Cheers - Louise

500 Posts and Hibiscus Tea

Hi there everyone. How is your day going? I am loving this weather...mid 7o's is just perfect and not high humidity....perfect, perfect. I am not a hot weather person and especially as I get older, hot does not agree with me or my ankles. So I have been praying....God keep it cool....and He has. But there is still August and September....then comes October, November and December and we know how cold those months can be. But for now, this has been a very comfortable Summer in my books.

So today is my 500 post on BlogSpot. I guess there should be a celebration of sorts....it's been fun blogging, don't know if I have a lot of followers that are actually following every word I type....it would be nice....but that is okay if you are not. It has been good therapy for me and maybe hopefully helped someone along the line.

Through the course of blogging here, I have ended up with a 2nd blog at: cards4ubylouise.wordpress.com  I was forced to go there because I could not up-load my pictures on blogspot. To say the least I became very frustrated, and started a 2nd blog. Wordpress is still a bit confusing to me, but it seems to attract more followers and reach more people for some reason. So, I will keep it going for the time being.

I have made some hibiscus tea. In all the years I have had this plant, never realized I could make tea with the flowers. Now I am hooked and can have fresh hibiscus tea during the winter too!!! I looked up on Youtube how to make the tea and it has lots of good properties like Vitamin C and also keeps the blood pressure down. Which I need.
So you take a tea pot with filtered water and boil. Take your hibiscus flowers and pull the petals off. and place in the water and let them steep.
In this picture you can see the petals starting to lose their color. I take the flower petals out when they go completely white and have lost all their color. The water will have turned pink as you can see in the two pictures below.
I also added a half package of stevia to sweeten the tea a bit. Such a pretty color and very tasty also. I think I am addicted to this luscious and refreshing tea.
Here's another picture of the tea.  I have also been making Hyssop tea with the leaves, which has a bit of a licorice taste to it, and Bee Balm tea, which you can use the petals of the red flowers (and you can eat the bee balm petals also, good for bad breath). I suspect you can use the leaves of the bee balm also...have not done that as yet. I think I have enough teas to keep me busy drying for a couple of weeks. I do have some lemon mint leaves to dry also.

Well as you can see....been busy making my own teas. JP likes the Hyssop tea the best. It's mentioned in the Bible and was used for Passover in Exodus 12:22. So yeah, he likes that Hyssop is in the Bible. So it must be good for our bodies in some way.

Time to close and get going on some of these teas. I told the Pastor's wife I would bring some mint tea for her to try tomorrow. Maybe I should google "how to make lemon mint tea" and see what it says.

You have a great day and keep looking up. Cheers ~ Louise

PS I blogged about this wonderful tea on Saturday. Not exactly sure why it did not post....I guess I need to contact Blog Support...have nothing but frustrations with this blog. Sorry for my rant!!!

2014 Resolutions from 2013, 2012, 2011 etc.

Did you all make any resolutions for the New Year??? I thought about it, but sometimes they are just too hard to keep. I might just try continuing what I started in 2011, 2012, 2013 and now 2014. As you can see these are "on-going" resolutions!!

1. Continue on my journey to lose some weight and reverse diabetes.
Still working on that and probably continue on into 2014. (2013 the Doctor put me on diabetes medication which lowered my blood sugars but the side effects were "gaining weight" So now I need to take those pounds off that was gained in 2013)

2. Paint a room or two this year....been awhile since I painted and redecorated.
Nope, no room painting in 2012. (2013, I did paint the little entry into the bedroom, and the brick wall going down-stairs)

3. This spring, paint the porch floor.
2012 - Nope, no porch painting...thought about it though. (2013, painted the porch railings and steps, but no, didn't do the porch floor as yet)

4. Get some cards into a few beauty shops.
2012 - Nope. (2013 - nope not as yet....but I am donating alot of my cards to Hospice, 397 cards to be exact)

5. Get the kitchen ceiling fixed.
2012 - Nope. (2013 - No, not yet as the roof is still leaking. I am going to try for a City grant, I have till the 17th to get the papers put together....maybe just maybe we can get the roof, ceiling and new gutters fixed this year)

6. These are long shots.........get a new or used stove and couch.
Got the couch and did look at a used stove, but nope, did not get one. (2013 - got the couch and 2 chairs, no stove yet)

7. More mini-vacations on Lake Winnebago and a vacation this year.
Nope, no vacation but many mini-vacations on Lake Winnebago. (2014, no more mini vacations on Lake Winnebago, we are planning a trip to Ladysmith though)

8. More blogs then last year.
Yes, I did manage that by 22 more blogs........2013? 25 more. (2013 - 122 posts, I shall try for 25 more this year)

9. Learn something new.
Guess I didn't, cause I can't think of anything. (2014 - learn to play my guitar)

10. Lose an old habit, what that is I don't know as yet.
Ha...probably gained some old habits, but lose, Nope! (2014 - lose 20 lbs.)

11. Continue on in my personal relationship with Jesus.
Yes! (2014 - this is on-going)

12. Make a new friend and cultivate and old friend.
Not sure I did. Oh wait, I did make a blog friend, does that count??? (2014 - new blog friends, lost another old-time friend who died of lung cancer in 2013...sigh)

13. Weed through the house, get rid of stuff not used for a couple of years.
Yes! (2013 - yes and have another garage sale)

14. Garage sale this summer?
Yes! (2013 - yes, had a couple of sales, didn't make much but unloaded a lot of stuff)

15. One accomplishment in 2013 - I added a pond with lots of flagstone that was given to me by a person no longer in my life. I guess, people come into ones life for some purpose and leave as quickly as they came. But they left this lovely pond which consumed my summer because then we bought 2 yards of red mulch and extended all our other gardens. This summer, I had the pond garden, tomato garden, patio garden, angel garden, front yard garden and a fire pit garden. This summer, we shall buy 2 more yards of mulch and finish my gardens off and add more perennial plants.

Well that is 14 things to work on, there probably are more, but this is a good start. Will have to remember these resolutions are here so I can keep reading them every now and then.
Guess I did not read them enough, cause many were not accomplished. So there you have it, shall I continue my quest for perfection in 2014......kinda' hard to attain perfection, very unattainable to me.

What to expect for 2014???
I have no idea what to expect. Peace would be a good thing to expect, but with the way this world is going, it's hard to foresee. I find it very hard to understand how people can continue living without a relationship with Jesus Christ and still survive living in this barbaric way of life. Killing and being killed, and sometimes for no reason at all, then to just kill!!!

A very sad commentary for "modern" man!!! Everyone blames the other guy and sadly does not look into the "mirror of truth" to see one's self-deception. We deceive ourselves daily, thinking we are good, when in reality we all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God. There is a scripture in the Bible that says to this affect. "Whoa to them that say good is evil and evil good..." This is fast becoming very familiar in our society. Very sad, very sad indeed.

Hello 2014 Hope this year is a bit better then 2013 was. Spiritually, emotionally, financially and creativity wise and morally speaking. God Bless America and may God's Word come into focus in everyone's heart in this year 2014!!!

New T-Shirts and a Challenge

Today I went to Sandi's and we made these t-shirts. The "Three Crosses" is for the Pastor.
I bought the t-shirts at Walmart for $4.00 a piece.
This t-shirt is for JP, his birthday is this month. So, yayyyyyy, this will be his birthday present. Along with a free steak at BJ Clancy's and maybe breakfast in the morning. Our BIG splurge!!!
This is my t-shirt. "Keep Calm - God's Got It" just a little reminder for us all!!! God knows, and see's everything that is going on in this world.......not to fear!!!
This one is for Mary, the Pastor's wife.

A word about the challenges: Biz is having a challenge this month. She'll be doing 100 miles, in either swimming, running, walking, riding. My challenge for May will be:
100 + miles riding my stationary bike
Walking Kylie around the block every day this month (she will be a happy doggie camper.)
One smoothie every day for May.
Hopefully I can lose a few pounds this month.
My goal; to lose 10 pounds by September.
Okay, here we goooooooooooo!!!

You all have a good day and I hope you didn't get snowed under. Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Cheers ~ Louise

Sadness in Aurora

Sadness in Aurora.............what can a person say to heal a heart. Only God can fix that. IT'S HIS BUSINESS YOU KNOW. You might say, "well, if it is God's business to fix what happened in Aurora.....why did it even happen?????? Why did some live, and some die, why did some have plans to go, but at the last minute change plans???? And, that woman who was about to open the door to James Holms's apartment...."something told her not to open the door." And, WHY in the world did James Holms even do what he did????

I am not even sure why, some die at an early age, or some die at an old age. And, how one dies is a complete mystery to me. Why do some get killed, die of cancer, heart attacks, malfunctions of the body, freak accidents (like that boy who was swallowed up by sand), earthquakes, volcano's, wind storms, hurricanes, tornado's, heat, cold, and the list goes on.

So, why do some, die in their sleep, here today and gone tomorrow. Why do some kill themselves? (when the Bible says, "Thou shalt not kill" (Exodus 20:13)???? So many questions, I know I am missing many more questions. You might even have alot of questions yourself.  There might be some who think they can answer your question......but if it is coming from a worldly perspective it is just a guess on their part.

But if by chance, you read the Bible, and Jesus IS your Lord and Savior. You'll know the answer to why James Holms did what he did............."SIN".........bottom line!!! His belief system was in Satan and he was doing the work of Satan. Satan wants that ALL men and women and children die without knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior. He hates mankind you know, and he hates you and me, whether we are saved or unsaved. Anyone created by God is a # 1 Target for Satan!!

I hope and pray that through this tragedy that many, many people will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior............He is the only way we can make it in the SIN-SICK World!!!

If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, ASK HIM TODAY! Because you may never know what will happen tonight or tomorrow even.............it may never come for you. Many of those people that died in that Aurora movie theater thought they had a whole life to live. Unbeknownest to them, Satan comes to steal and to kill and to destroy (John 10:10) and devour our souls.

Jesus came, that we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

When I asked Jesus into my life, all I prayed was, "Jesus I've made a mess of my life, please come into my heart and take over from here, make everything new again." Then, sit back and watch what God will do for you. Everything will look new, even the sky and clouds will be different, you'll even smile more. But take care, "Be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour." (1 Peter 5:8)
Start reading your Bible, beginning with the book of John and get to know who Jesus is. Find yourself a Bible believing church, not just any church, but a church where Jesus Christ and Him Crucified is preached. The best place for me has been at http://www.jsm.org/ Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. You can watch the Wednesday and Sunday services plus get preaching, teaching and wonderful music all week long, 24/7.

Going to close this blog for today, you take care and take Jesus and keep looking up for your redemption drawth nigh. Cheers ~ Louise

Some Plantings Today

No pictures today, as I just got some new plants to plant today. A lovely purple impatient for the front porch. Two more tomatoe plants, a strawberry plant, shasta daisies, Zenias and a lemon Verdana herb that makes tea. Got them all planted just before it started to rain a gentle rain, so they won't get drowned. Only bad thing about the rain is that our roof leaks.

Can you believe we had the roof reroofed in 2002 which at that time, had never leaked. But now it does...........thanks to a man that called himself a "Christian" who was trying to cut corners.....no, he was not a Christian. Bible says "to trust NO MAN" and that is so true. Anyways now we deal with a leaky ceiling which gets worse with each rain. Why don't you fix it, you say? Costs money which we do not have at this time...............so the roof continues to leak into the kitchen...........sue him? He is no longer in business, sold all his stuff and who has the money to sue now adays? So we deal with it with pots and pans.......until our ship comes in.

Well, so much for my tales of woes............You have a good day...:)
Louise

PS.......if I can find the pictures of our roof, I will add them to this blog.
