Weekends.....Hooray!!!

Hi there everyone. Hope you are doing well.....I have been meaning to use this little doggie for a long time....now is the time.
Habitat for Humanity was here on Monday to build our fence. Today....Saturday, a few people are coming to paint our porch. I still have some paint left from the last paint job....so there should be a enough.

We had to clean off the porch of furniture and stuff. Last night I power sprayed the porch to get dust off....sprayed the ceiling and siding and even the flowers got some spray on them too. Looks clean.

We also got 2 large planters and a bunch of dirt to get our plants going for next year. I just have to decide where I want them. My only problem is that there is not enough sun as the two trees make it very shady. Oh well, I have the winter to think about it.

I will take pictures of everything accomplished this week....feels good, like having a new house.

Well, time to close, have to get to bed. As the workers will be here at about 7:45am....uge, hope I can get started.

Have a great weekend and keep looking up....better days are coming. Cheers ~ Louise

A Shorty Blog 2 Day!

Hi everyone. Hope your day is going well. It's sort of dreary today, not sure if there is more rain in the forecasts or not....but I think we have had enough. Had to transplant 2 tomato plants cause there were no holes in the bottom of the planter for the rain water to drain. So I bought 3 new colorful planters, 2 orange planters and 1 fuchsia planter. Along with 4 new tomato cages, a red, green, yellow and orange cage, new color added to a garden always makes for happy tomatoes. Don't you think???

I was going to post my strawberry picking from last night. But for some odd and unknown reason Blogger.com is not letting me download my pictures onto this post. I have hunted all over this site to see what the problem is and can't seem to find it. I've even shut down the computer hoping there was a small kink and that it would clear it up once coming on again. What in the world changes from one day to the next.....is hard to explain and beyond my computer savey. Must be some kind of curse!!! I know....an Internet curse and some hacker is playing games with me again!!!! Honestly, I keep to myself and hopefully don't bother anyone, but there still seems to be a problem with this computer. Please Viruses and Hackers leave me alone!!!

Maybe it is just the weather and things will be better tomorrow.....I hope.

Well, nothing much going on. I need to take Kylie for a walk and get back before the Schwans Man shows up.....mmmm...getting some golden nugget ice cream bars tonight.....my guilty pleasure!!! Along with some sweet potato and regular fries. Yep...simple meals this weekend. Hamburgers, fries and salad, eggs and bacon, cheese omelets and pizza and maybe a soup of some kind.

Still need to plant a few things, two more tomato plants and some white sunflowers....and start weeding the front yard.....it's a mess that I have just not wanted to tackle, but it must be tackled sooner or later.

So you all have a great weekend and keep looking up.....here's to sunny blue skies and puffy white clouds are in our near future!!! Cheers ~ Louise

Some Plantings Today

No pictures today, as I just got some new plants to plant today. A lovely purple impatient for the front porch. Two more tomatoe plants, a strawberry plant, shasta daisies, Zenias and a lemon Verdana herb that makes tea. Got them all planted just before it started to rain a gentle rain, so they won't get drowned. Only bad thing about the rain is that our roof leaks.

Can you believe we had the roof reroofed in 2002 which at that time, had never leaked. But now it does...........thanks to a man that called himself a "Christian" who was trying to cut corners.....no, he was not a Christian. Bible says "to trust NO MAN" and that is so true. Anyways now we deal with a leaky ceiling which gets worse with each rain. Why don't you fix it, you say? Costs money which we do not have at this time...............so the roof continues to leak into the kitchen...........sue him? He is no longer in business, sold all his stuff and who has the money to sue now adays? So we deal with it with pots and pans.......until our ship comes in.

Well, so much for my tales of woes............You have a good day...:)
Louise

PS.......if I can find the pictures of our roof, I will add them to this blog.
