Blah ~ Blah ~ Blah

Hi there everyone. Do you ever feel like this some days.....stick your tongue out at everything??? Yeah, that's the way I have felt for these last couple of weeks. Only thing I can think is, POLITICS??? I am so tired of all the lying on both sides. The news media keeps lying about everything too...all wanting their 15 minutes of fame.

I know who I am voting for, just hope that person gets in as President....it will definitely be more easier to pray for that person. Yeah, blah, blah, blah!!!!
I have been looking at different cards on the Internet......getting ideas for Christmas cards. I saw this little gem yesterday and totally fell in love with it......isn't he cute??? Need to find this stamp.
I ordered this new stamp, an addition to my collection of many. A woman I knew years ago, borrowed me this stamp and I made a few cards with it. I had to return it and so naturally, I have looked high and low for this stamp.

Found it on the Internet, someone had made a card with this Great Blue Heron.....where did they get that stamp????? So I followed her link and found it at Repeat Impressions in Maine. I can hardly wait to start making cards with this Great Blue Heron. Hopefully I have the backing to start making a few cards for Hospice.
So today, we had the Electric and Gas Co. put in a new meter, no charge to us.....they change up their gas meters every 25 years.....we have lived in this house 25 years. The gas man found 3 gas leaks and fixed them temporarily, the fix will last 6-12 months, then we should get the furnace guy here for fix it further. Maybe after winter, we might have a little bit more money then, I hope.

Today I returned At&t's 2 receivers and cords and 3 remotes to UPS. UPS packs and sends the product back to AT&T for free and if I did not return them by November 4th......BAM! I would get charged $300.00!!!!

Next week, Friday, JP has to have a biopsy of the prostrate. He is not looking forward to it. It seems the Doctor thinks he has cancer. I guess we will find out then what the outcome will be. If you think about it, prayer would be appreciated for him and me.

Looks like in the next few days I will be raking leaves, our tree is really shedding, leaves all over the place. And it is time to get my ceramic critters in the shed....no, I still have not done that yet.

Time to close here....you all have a great night and keep looking up, better days are coming. Cheers ~ Louise

My Cards4ubylouise Studio

Hi everyone. Hope you are keeping WARM in this freezing cold Polar Vortex?????!!!! Thought I would type a few words while JP eats his dinner....yea, it's about 1:14am and he is slurping up the last of his fruit and yogurt. I made some rustic bread, vegie marinara sauce over spaghetti and beans. Today's marinara sauce includes a 28oz of crushed tomatoes, roasted zucchini, green peppers, onions, carrots, celery, sliced cabbage and garlic. After roasting the vegies, I let them cool, then added the vegies to the crushed tomatoes and brought to a soft boil. Used my immersable blender to blend altogether, you can't even tell there are all those extra wonderful vegies in there. How healthy is this recipe????

I am most definitely spoiled now.....probably will never buy another jar of tomato sauce again.
So here we are in my "Woman Cave". I guess that is what you would call it, my place to get away and play a little. I know, I know that's a lot of stuff. But it is an accumulation of about 15 years or so. Ya just never know when a technique will come up and I just might have the stuff to make it!!! This is the view of where I sit and create. In front and to the side of me are my many pens. The drawers hold fancy papers, stamps, embossing powders, watercolor pencils, H2o colors, paints, washi tape and many misc. things.
From this angle are my inks, papers, cuttlebug and die cuts, folders, punches, glues, tape, scissors, boxes and containers of punched out designs oh, and a drawer full of "Valentine embellishments".
From this angle, are cards already made, cards waiting to be made, envelopes, stamps and many embellishments, Quilling, Iris folding, flowers, glitter, ribbon, scrap paper, plastic sleeves and Etsy tags and cards.
On the same wall and on the other side of the basement, is scrap booking stuff, books, idea books, folders, beads for jewelery making, Hospice inserts, wooden block and acrylic stamps. I do have another section of stamping stuff, in the other room are my Christmas, Easter, Valentine, St.Patrick stamps, more ribbons and magazines.
And here is my special friend, Kylie who sits in her chair keeping me company. So there you have it, a tour of my "cards4ubylouise studio". It's not like some of the other gorgeous stamping studios you may have seen....but it is my little studio. Maybe someday I will have an actual room, totally organized, with windows and sunlight beaming through, bright and airy!!!

Well, the President is giving his State of the Union Address.......ho hum....sounds like we are living in some kind of Utopian place, according to him. I sure don't see that, like what planet is he talking about? I will be interested to hear what Rush, Sean and Mark Levine have to say about Obama's speech. Oh yesssss. he just said "Give America a Raise" that would be nice....oh cool "MyRA" a savings for us poor people, so they can take more from us...hahahahah, sounds good????? I better go, before I get in trouble.

Have a great day tomorrow and keep looking up and keep warm in this cold, cold unpredictable weather. Cheers ~ Louise

JUST A NOTE: Incase you were wondering. We got our car back today, to the tune of $396.00, hopefully nothing eles happens and we can pay off what we owe by the end of this year.(like about $1000????)

100 Mile Challenge!!!

Well as you can see, I did 100 miles on my stationary bike this month. Starting at 2,506.1 and ending at 2,606.1. My challenge started August 4th and finished yesterday, August 29th......it took 26 days to reach  my goal of 100 miles. Doing 5 miles a day, sometimes 3 miles or 4 miles and a couple of 6 mile journeys.

The challenge was initiated by www.mybizzykitchen.com a blog I like to visit everyday to see what she has cooked up for the day. Biz is from the Chicago area. She tells alot about her life, what she is doing, how she is handeling her diabetis, what she is cooking, how many calories etc., how she is exercising, how far she is running, what she is reading, watching and where she goes out to eat and what she makes with those doggie bags she brings home. Her husband even answers questions on her blog.....he is a real hoot, you will find yourself laughing out loud many times while reading her blog.

There were many others that took the challenge also, Biz has put their names in a bowl (or whatever she is using). At the end of this month one person will be the winner of 2 jars of salsa and 2 jars of grilled cherry salsa that Biz made and a case of Chobani Greek Yogurt from Chobani. I will let you know who won.

Well, I am closing here for now, need to get dinner ready for JP and get some more bike riding in. It seems my blood sugars are usually down in the morning when I ride my bike in the evening..........on to another 100 miles for September.

The Green Bay Packers won tonight.....YAY!!! Go Pack!!! Mitt Romney spoke tonight along with Clint Eastwood and Marco Rubio........what a speaker, he will go far in Politics....maybe President someday??? I sure hope Romney wins the Presidential Race.....down to earth and much easier to look at!!
You all have a great day and keep looking up for your redemption is drawing nigh. Cheers ~ Louise
