Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Hi there everyone, how are you doing this month??? Oh, my how the days are flying by. Yesterday I wrote a check for February 22.....how did this month fly by so fast????

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all. Here are a few cards from the last couple of years. The one above is an old card I made at a card making class.....not sure I have this card anymore, but at least I have a picture of it.
Now this card I still have or at least a copy of the card that I can run off on the printer and color them in. Cute frog hiding in the britches.
More old cards that I don't have any more but still have the pictures.
I could make more of these cards because I have a copy of him that I can run off on the printer.
I always liked this die and can make more of these cards anytime, they turned out nice for St Patrick's Day!!!! I have a few more cards in the making but have not taken pictures of them so I can post them on this blog.

Hospice meeting is on March 1st. So, I have 7 days to get some cards put together, guess I am running behind at this point. Think I will have a few more St. Patrick cards, some Easter cards, Birthday cards and Thinking of you.

I feel so behind in everything right now, things I should get done, just sit and don't get done. The dishes can sit in the sink for days and I just keep adding to the heap, then finally I get tired of looking at them and finally do them in phases. After I get done with these dishes and cards, need to sit down and do the taxes for 2023....not one of my favorite jobs.

Well, that is about it for this blog, not much going on here, just trying to live life and get through each day and the only thing that keeps me going is my faith in Jesus Christ. Been reading Acts a little at a time. Have you ever heard the saying, "Read the book of Acts and get ready?" Yeah, get ready for the second return of Jesus, he is coming again and soon and I can hardly wait!!!! We will be reunited with Jesus and our loved ones...gonna be a great day!!!!

Talk to you all later, maybe something exciting will happen like Spring is just around the corner. Keep looking up, better days are coming. Cheers ~ Louise

Revealed Cards from the Party Last Week Part 1

Hi there everyone. Well, here we are, one week into November already. I shall be 71 years old this month....yikes!!! My mind still thinks young but I give myself sooooo much to do, problem is my body is having a hard time keeping up with all the things my mind wants to do. Okay....maybe someday I will figure this out. My mother never told me old age would be tuff.....she always said, "Everything is calm and quiet." I am still waiting for those calm and quiet days!!!!

As promised in my previous post, these are the cards from the revealing party a week ago already. We are starting a new session, but I have yet to receive the name of my new partner in crime.....I already know what images I will be sending for the next 6 months, so it will be fun to see what the new friends images will be.

So in this froggy picture, I did the card on the right and Janine did the card on the left. Ribbit....ribbit...ribbit!!! Janine sent the frog images, so I have 10 more frogs in my image stash....lol!

Janine sent the images of the Master Gardener, garden tools and seeds. Her card in on the left and my card on the right.
I sent Janine 12 bird images. Her card is on the left and my card on the right. I actually like Janine's card....so cute!!!
I sent the Dragonfly images, my card is on the right and Janine's is on the left.
I love this blue heron....so glad he is in my possession. I sent Janine 12 images of this lovely bird.  My card is on the right and Janine's card is on the left.
In the card below, I sent Janine 12 images of the rose and pineapple. My card is on the right and Janine's card on the left. As you can see she cut three roses, very pretty.
I have some more cards from the revealing party to share with you....that will be in my next post.

Not much happening the rest of the this week. We are still raking leaves and getting the yard ready for winter. So much to do and winter is right around the corner. You all have a great night and keep looking up, better days are coming. Cheers ~ Louise

Before and After ~ The Pond

Hi there everyone. It's a lovely day today. Paid a few bills and went to Sam's Club. JP ran out of oatmeal, peanut butter and prunes....I like to buy in bulk, it lasts longer that way. JP likes his oatmeal every morning. Peanut butter on apples, bread or by the tablespoons and 4 prunes a day.....to keep the doctor away???? Oh that's right, I forgot his apples!!!! Well there is still tomorrow.
So today I thought I would do some before and after's. The above picture was taken March 21st....as you can seen not much was growing. I wanted to get some pictures taken before "Rebuilding Together" people came. I think in this picture the pond is turned over....kind of hard to see. Nope....not turned over, I have it sitting up right.
The above picture was taken last summer 2014. I still had the pond sitting on top of the ground and the rocks built up around it.....it worked nicely, but a little unclassy looking. The goose did not mind though, as long as he was near the water.
In the above picture is "After" Rebuilding Together people came and fixed my pond and added an electrical outlet on the outside of the garage. They dug a hole and placed the pond in the hole and built the rock around the pond.....Mr. Goose is most happy now and can actually reach into the pond for a drink of water. You can't see him from here....but Mr. Frog is perched in his happy place and ready to jump in. I shall have to get a better picture at a later date. The Rebuilding people added flowers and red mulch. Yes, it is very, very pleasant out by the pond......I shall enjoy my backyard this summer. As long as the mosquitoes stay away and don't bite me.....geez they are mean this year.

I have added some new lights to my yard......I love the twinkling of lights at night time. So pretty.

Well it is time to walk Kylie for her evening walk. For tonight's jobs to accomplish, I have my spices to unpack and put in the cabinet and my antiquey things to put on the shelf above the refrigerator. Gosh I guess next place to work on is the basement. I have yet to make a few cards......have just been so busy re-nesting, have not had time to make cards. Hospice meeting is next week and I have no cards to give to them....oh oh!!!

Tomorrow is my appointment with the dentist for a "deep cleaning" he will be doing half my mouth.....Novocain and laughing gas are on order for me so I don't get too nerved up. Hope all goes well and I can be so relaxed that I doze off.

Hey....'da Hawks are playing the Ducks tonight....so I need to watch that and record "American Picker" one of my favorite shows. So you all have a good night and keep looking up!!!!
Cheers ~ Louise

Froggie, Froggie, a Froggie Planter

Hi there everyone.....how is your Wednesday going so far??? Well, we woke up to snow on the ground at 7am this morning...oh yuk...enough!!! It was pretty, but Spring needs to show it's face around here, soon and very soon. As of now, it is melted on the streets and sidewalks.
Don't you just love this happy frog???? I really want one of these in my backyard!!! I saw her on Facebook and just had to save her to my files. I am presently looking for old tires!!! I think if I had seen this idea years ago when we had our 20 acres, I would have had frogs all over the place....hahaha! My husband, at that time, collected old tires, (he thought he could sell them for the oil that is in them) so we had a pile of them in the woods.....darn, if I had only known back then that those tires could make this cute planter. See the flowers growing behind her??? Such a great idea.

Note: JP never sold a tire...he had an offer, but it was not what he wanted.....AND the guy would have hauled them all away....but no...not enough $$$$. I bet if we had turned them into "FROGS" they would have sold for a hefty price...don't you think??? Gosh at least $50 bucks a frog....we must have had over 100 tires or more. We just calculated....$1000. HA that was more then what that guy offered. IF ONLY WE HAD KNOWN!!!!

After "Rebuilding Together" has their work day here and cleans up and spruces my backyard....I think this happy frog will be in my landscape.....someplace.

Nothing much going on today, will write a few bills and pay our house taxes (or at least part of it) today. "So many bills, so little money" oh well, such is life. What is life without a little stress???

But maybe looking out the back yard and seeing this happy frog smiling back at me will make life smile back when things go wrong!!! Yeah....I need a frog in my future.

Well, time to close, keep looking up!!! Cheers ~ Louise

PS. I typed in "How to make a tire Frog" and got the directions to make "Frieda La Frog" above. So if you are interested in making "Frieda" for your own backyard...the directions are on the internet.
