Some New Cards...for Hospice and Etsy

Hi there everyone. Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful day. Hopefully it is beautiful where you are. Some were dealing with rain, hail, wind and all sorts of bad weather. We need to count our blessings when the weather is beautiful. Never know what is around the corner for someone else.
Well today I thought I would post some cards I have been working on the last couple of days. Made quite a few of them as I will be adding them to my Etsy store and for the Hospice meeting this Friday. In the top picture, a very easy and fun card to make. Washi tape was used to make a candle, different colors and designs. Happy Birthday stamped on the bottom and speckles were used for the flame. The candles had to dry over night, then I taped them to card stock. I made a set of 4 cards for $10.00 + postage. I need to make more of these cards, they are always good to have on hand.
This lovely card was made with my new Rubber Necker Stamps. I have always admired this set of stamps and finally got the set a few weeks ago. There are 5 different stamps that make up this design. First the flowers, which can be stamped and sprayed with water, the leaves, the dots, then the stems. Finally the verse. These cards have a watercolor effect, I just love the way it turned out. I am sure this could be just about any card you would want it to be. Name it and claim it!!!
This cute card is just a lamp, stamped and then run through the cuttlebug. The lamp shade is stamped and embossed in gold and popped up. I found this lamp along with a few other lamps at a sale.
In these two pictures are the Rubber Necker stamps again. As you can see I am having a great time using these stamps. Fun to try the flowers in different colors to see what they look like. I like the verses that come with this set, 3 different sayings. They are as follows: (note: just 2 verses here, sorry)
The gentle Wind drifts to each flower at play
Bringing a sweetness of life to brighten your day.

As I wandered the forest, the green leaves among.
I heard a Wild Flower singing a song.

Well, those are just two verses, guess I did not take a picture of the 3rd card with the 3rd verse.

Time to close and take Kylie for a walk....will be going downstairs tonight and put inserts into the cards for Hospice, so I am already for Friday. Have a great night and keep looking up. Cheers ~ Louise

Do You Like Chocolate Cake???

Hi everyone. How are you all doing on this bright and sunny day??? Well, it is bright and sunny here. Looking out the window though...looks like I need to wash a few windows...hahahaha.

So here's my question: Do you like Chocolate cake??? If you do, this is the BEST chocolate cake I have EVER had!! I thought I might be able to freeze a little, but I don't think it will make it to the freezer, maybe a couple of pieces might, just not sure at this point!!
If you are looking for a GOOD cake for one of those special occasions...this is your cake to buy. Go to: http://cakebosscakes.com
You'll see a big picture of Buddy holding a pretty blue cake. Go up to the right of the screen and click on PRODUCTS go to the pretty teal cake wrapped up like a present. Click on the cake and up will come 7 different cakes and OH! there is that wonderul "Oh My Ganache" cake I had for my birthday!!!
In this picture the cake has been taken out of the box and is sitting pretty on the table. My taste buds were singing at this point and I could hardly wait for the first bite of this scrumptious cake.
Here I have placed 3 candles on the cake and lite them (67 candles would have taken too long to place, light and then blow out) 3 candles was enough and also all I had on hand...lol!
Here I have cut a piece of cake and lite another candle........mouth drooling......I could hardly wait for that first bite of heavenly, delicious, chocolate. YES, YES, it truly was what I was expecting. If I could give you a piece...I would have.
In this last picture is all that is left...actully JP got another slice. And yes.....I did manage to save a few pieces and freeze them for later on in the week, like maybe for Thanksgiving day. BUT....I may get some Peanut Butter Cup Cakes from Buddy...maybe, maybe :)

Well there you have it....Ode to "oh my ganache" cake.......best birthday cake I ever had and best $19.99 I ever spent and well worth it!!!

You all have a great day and keep looking up for your redemption draws nigh. Cheers ~ Louise

Glimpses of Thanksgiving, Birthday and Pizza

Glimpses of Thanksgiving Dinner. Oh it was a wonderful meal!!! I talked about this wonderful meal we had on Thanksgiving, but did not post pictures to this blog. The turkey was so moist, with gravy, mashed potatoes, squash, cranberries, in the forefront you see the asparagus that was baked on the crescent rolls with lots of mozzarella  and pumpkin pie....a very good meal set for a KING!!!
Glimpses of my Birthday cake 6 candles = 66. Don't often make a cake for my birthday, but this year I did. A very moist carrot cake with cream cheese frosting........what can I say, delicious!!!

A glimpse of "hash browns potato pizza" Now this was a great pizza!!
1 package of hash browns, oil pan well, even leaving extra oil on pan. Spread hash browns out evenly on pan and sprinkle a little oil on top of hash browns. Because you will want the hash browns to brown on the bottom at 400-450 degrees for 10 minutes.
Spread some pizza sauce or tomato sauce on baked hash browns.
spread, chopped onions, peppers, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and cheese....whatever your desire.
Bake till the cheese melts (vegetables are done) and you have a crispy bottom.
Not sure how I came upon this recipe but it sure is delicious!!!

Glimpses of my cards the votive, made this collage on a new site I found. www.picmonkey.com  Take a peek at the site, you might enjoy playing with it.

Etsy, oh Etsy why are you causing me so much grief???? Yes, it is true. Since Thursday, I have tried listing some Christmas cards and a pretty votive and cannot seem to list. I go through the motions, jumping through all those hoops, answering the questions, uploading the pictures, and writing the description..........which all takes time, then I go to "list preview" and NOTHING happens. I am really bummed, 9 times I have tried listing and to no avail. Emailed Etsy to let them know the problem. It seems it is not their problem but on my side. This is the 1st time in 5 years that I am having this problem. Have upgraded Internet Explorer and now have to upgrade Google Chrome. They told me I would have to find a new browser..............no............these are the only two I will do, not adding any other browsers like AOL, Foxfire, or whatever they are promoting. I find it hard to understand why other people are NOT complaining............very strange.

Well I guess I shall close this blog for today.......need to see about upgrading Google Chrome and try getting a few cards in my shop. Talk to you later and keep looking up for your redemption draws nigh.
Cheers ~ Louise
