Hi there everyone. Don't you just love this weather? It has been in the 40's and 50's for the last week or so...and there is more to come. I like this kind of weather, not a fan of real warm and humid weather. Always have to watch the sodium intake of foods cause my ankles tend to swell up. Maybe hopefully by summer I will have dropped another 10 lbs. hopefully that won't be a problem for me. So far, in the last 6 months....20 lbs. have been shed from this fat frame....feeling better now, but could stand to lose another 30-40 lbs. My motto has been just to "eat less, I guess" (maybe I should have a t-shirt made).
I had a tooth pulled yesterday....yes, that helps in weight lose too, cause no hot food, only cool, soft nutritious food, and not eat hard foods for 2 days. Today I had a yummy smoothie, tonight egg salad (no bread)...maybe later on tonight I will have some chicken soup.....hopefully the scale will say a one pound less then it was today.
Today I went to my friends house for some card making. We do that once a month....I think I have been going to her house for 8 or 9 years....goodness that is a lot of card making....just calculated about 450 cards over the years. Yep...that could be, I have given a lot of those cards away to Hospice and to other friends. They have come in handy, that is for sure. Like having my own card store.
So the card up above...the two bunnies sitting on a mushroom are colored in with Copic markers. The pink background is a die-cut. Sweet card.
This card was stamped with "Stampin Up" stamps. Oh oh....looks like another set is in my future. This had the one tree, but it could also be made into a summer tree, fall and winter tree. This is the spring tree....the stamp set also includes a swing, rake , snow flakes, blades of grass and flowers and a few other things for different seasons.
Now this card was really neat. (sorry it is a little blurry) The background embossing folder is from Stampin Up. The die cuts are from another company. I borrowed the embossing folder from B. as I have an idea for making my Easter cards....not much into bunnies, rabbits and chickens for Easter cards, so my cards will have a lovely butterfly on it. Looking forward to making the cards soon and very soon. I just may have to order this embossing folder also.
Here we have a bunny made out of punches and die cuts jumping back into his hole in the tree. Cute, huh???
That would be it for today....I have quite a few things in the making. Within the next few weeks and month...Rebuilding Together will start working on our house, fixing the kitchen ceiling and many other things that need fixin'.
So have a great evening and enjoy, keep looking up.
Cheers ~ Louise
Where you'll find many cards I have made, to sell, give away and donate to Hospice. You will also find many, many little snapshots of my life which makes me who I am in Christ Jesus and Him Crucified which makes me complete. Colossians 2:10 "And you are complete in Him which is the Head of all principality and power."

What's New?
I have a few moments and thought I would put a few thoughts down in my blog and show you some pretty flowers growing in my garden. To your left is a white flower clementis. This is the second year of growing and it over took all three trelis's.....amazing. This is the inside of the porch. I took pictures on the outside, but have to find them. These pretty little white flowers have given much privacy for us on our porch, sad to say, we have not ate on the
porch alot this summer, too many bees and mosquitos. We've done alot of cook outs this summer with charcoal, which has been alot of fun with our little $20 grill.
I should look for a picture of food on the grill.....just a moment. Be right back. Okay, I found a lovely meal cooked on o
ur little grill. MMMMMMM looked so good, I could almost smell the aroma. Veggie shishkababs and chicken. that was sooooo delicious. These pictures were taken back in July 31st......my how time flies.
Been working on a few new cards, but have not put any up on my Etsy store lately. I will be renewing some Christmas and Autumn cards, but nothing halloween.....I actually hate halloween, it's worship of the Devil and I am not into worshipping the Devil. So there you have it, people have been so blinded by the evil one, they cannot see.....if someone held a spoon before their eyes and they were told it was a spoon....guess what, they still would not see that spoon. Satan not only has people blinded but also brainwashed. I prefer to have my brain washed in the Blood of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. There is no other way to live.
So what else is new???? We are looking to have a tree cut down in our backyard......we got the first estimate today......I could not believe how much the estimate was.......guess......just a quick guess.......give up? $2,284.oo yep.....hard to believe huh? No we are not going with him, that is for sure.
I will be taking some pictures of our front yard. JP and I landscaped the front with lots of wood chips and today I bought some stepping stones so we can walk through our little front yard garden. I am looking forward to opening up the whole front with lots of flowers and a Zuchinni plant or two.....I can't get over the fact that I planted 12 zuchinni seeds. 6 plants made it and out of those 6 plants I have yet to get 1 zuchinni.....ground too wet I guess. The back yard got flooded twice. Been a frustrating year to grow things, I am beginning to think I am losing my green thumb!
Well, I think I shall close this blog for tonight, talk to you later~Louise

♥1971 Barn Painting♥
Farms were always intriqueing to me for some reason. Wasen't till 1976 we actually moved to the country on 20 acres with cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits, dogs and cats, a big garden and lots of hay and corn and oats for the animals.................we really enjoyed that living, alot of work and alot of tears, but also alot of good times and memories. Oh that we could have back "the way we were" maybe change a few things so as not to end up where we are. Would it have made a difference, I wonder. Well time to shut down for the night.
