WOW ~ First Day of March - Keto Bread - Blackhawks

Hi there everyone. Here we gooooooooo!!! The first day of March....seems like every month has it's own celebration of some sort. This month it's the wearing of the green, even if you are not Irish...green is the color. I love corned beef and cabbage, so most definitely there will be some corned beef cooking in the crock pot this month.

The Chicago Blackhawks are playing San Jose tonight.....the Hawks are losing so far 2-1. Well, it is only the first period, so we'll see what the score is in the 2nd and 3rd periods. This is the first time in 10 years the Hawks will not be in the Playoffs, not unless there is a major miracle and the Hawks pull it off....we'll see.
I forgot to show you the cards we made at Betty's last Wednesday. Guess it did not cross my mind for some reason. Maybe too many other things on my mind. So the above card is a St. Patrick's Day card. A beer stein of green beer, I guess. It could be a "green river" Remember that drink....yep that was my favorite, Green River soda with French fries at the corner drug store!!! Gotta love those memories and carbs!!!!
This sure is a cute card. Betty said, "Because everyone has been sick" she wanted to make a card for them. I like that chicken. I will have to borrow that stamp sometime and make a few more cards like this one.
Pretty Spring, flowered card, using the copic markers. Makes for a nice card.
Another Spring card, using the copic markers. Betty designs all these cards, sometimes getting inspiration from magazines, card clubs that she belongs to and Pinterest. That's where I get a lot of my ideas too. Always fun to go there and see what's new.

So tonight I made some "Savory Keto Bread" looking forward to have some with an over easy egg in the morning. Here's the recipe.
2.5 cups almond flour
1/4 cup coconut flour
1/2 cup Kerrygold butter
8 oz cream cheese
8 whole eggs (set out at room temperature)
1 tsp Rosemary seasoning and 1 tsp. Sage seasoning
2 Tbs Parsley seasoning and 1.5 tsp baking powder
Cream together, butter and cream cheese until smooth. Add Rosemary, Sage and Parsley and whip until fully combined. Add the eggs and continue mixing till smooth. Finally add the flours and baking powder. The batter will be thick. Grease a loaf pan or 3 small loaf pans, or cup cake pans. Fill pans 1/2 way with the batter.
Bake 350 degrees.
35 minutes for small loaf pans.
55 minutes for large loaf pans.
15 minutes for cup cakes
Maybe one cup cake per meal or one slice per meal. Put a little butter on it too.....yummy!

Well the score is 5-1.....no need to get excited about this game. I will keep it on though...just to listen. My step father (who is dead now) would have given up on them along time ago. He probably would be Rooting for the Las Vegas Golden Knights who are 1st in their division in the NHL. This is their first year playing, a new franchise, of castoff players that nobody wanted. Wouldn't you know it, they are out to prove they are the best!!!! I kinda knew that was going to happen.

The Hawks are one of the Original 6 teams that started back in the 20's and 30's....now there are 31 teams to keep track of, that's a lot of hockey players. Pops had season tickets back in the 60's when he married my mother. So we went to lots of Hockey games. Yep, Pops would have been disgusted with the Hawks about now and would most definitely be rooting for the Golden Knights!!

Hawks lost 7-2....bummers!!

Well, time to close here, have a great night and keep looking up ~ better days are coming. (when we see Jesus....those will be the better days, in heaven.) Cheers ~ Louise

Everything Green....

Hi there everyone, hope you have a great St. Patrick's Day celebration!!! I found this funny cartoon on the Internet and had to save it to my files. I wish I could say there is some Irish running in my veins, but then you never know.....maybe centuries ago someone Irish crossed the lines into Germany, but as far as I know, there is none.

When going through my files, I was wondering what I should post for St. Patrick's? Suddenly the thought of "Everything Green" came to mind, so as you scroll down, you will find everything green from my files in celebration of St. Patrick's Day
This is "Frieda the Frog". I thought she was so cute and wanted to have her in my garden last summer. But, because of sickness last year I was not able to fulfill my goal. I did find 4 tires and painted one as the base for my bird feeders. The other 3 tires are in the back yard...one is painted green, the other 2 need to be painted. I do need to find some small tires for Frieda's eyes, lashes and feet. Hopefully I can meet this goal this summer.
In this green picture is the "Flat Tummy Water" oh if only this would really work. It does look refreshing though and I may try this for sure this summer.
In this picture is the insert of one of the St. Patrick cards I made.....so Best of Luck to you with many, many Blessings too!
This file is a cute Irish leprechaun I made at Betty's house last month. I may save him for next year and give him to Hospice.....that's if I am still going to the meetings and making cards for them. Never know, things change so quickly now a days.
This card is a Birthday card I made for the grand nephew's 7th birthday. I like my birds, they are fun to work with.
Last but not least is this yummy pizza I made from Blue Apron, "White Pizza with Baked Eggs and Arugula-Brussels Sprout Salad" I am pretty sure I gave this "5 Stars." Yep this was a pretty delicious pizza.
I don't really have many plans for tomorrow...maybe work on some cards, pay some bills and cook a Blue Apron meal that will be delivered tomorrow....can hardly wait.

So there you have it, "Everything Green" for St. Patrick's Day.....hope your day is full of fun and food. Have a great day and keep looking up because better days are coming!!
Cheers ~ Louise

Ground Hog Day and a "Thanks" Card!!!!!!!

Yep.....it's that day of the year that we find out if we have 6 more weeks of WINTER!!! Personally, I am not really caring.......if the groundhog sees his shadow or not. Guess it depends on which groundhog you are talking too.....hahahah......and which one saw his shadow, the one in Wisconsin or the one in PA, Ohio, Ill or Mich. (Note: just on the news....a couple of them did not see their shadow, does that mean an early spring????? whatever). So many people seem to think they know how to predict the future in some way or another......hummmmmm.....me thinks no one knows the future except God!!!! For isn't His ways higher then our ways and His thoughts higher then ours??????? "If God says", I will tend to listen to what HE says and not man or groundhogs.....so there!!!! I have no pictures of a groundhog.....they aren't that pretty or cute like my puppy dogs..........soooooo this may just be a picture less blog for today. Who knows maybe I will come up with something as I write.

Some bad news yesterday.....we had to get rid of our second car, had too many things wrong with it, needed brakes, new fuel lines, rusty lines, tyrods, etc. would cost more to get it fixed then what it is worth....junk yard paid us $400....that was good. Paid part of our bill at Van Linn's, the rest will go towards another "old car" and more bills till that one wears out and becomes "undriveable".
Here's a picture of a card I made with my new Cricut machine, (used this picture in a previous blog) I really like my Cricut, it's fun to play with. It is a gift from a friend. Bought some new mats on Etsy, ordered them on the 28th of January and they arrived yesterday......gosh that was fast delivery. Have an idea for a St. Patrick card, "Kiss me I'm Irish" card. Really need to get some more cards in my Etsy store for St. Pats......sort of lagging behind. But I did notice that last year, this time I sold some St. Pat's cards, 4 of them, starting the 21st of February.......soooo, guess I have a little bit of time to get some cards made and up in my Etsy store. Take a peek, go to http://www.cards4ubylouise.etsy.com/

Hope you all are having a great day with better days ahead and keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh!!!
Cheers ~ Louise

I'm Doing Another Etsy Tap Dance......YAY!!!!

Doing another Etsy tap dance this weekend.........sold 3 St. Patrick Cards..........gosh that just so makes me day.........I really could get used to this!!!! Well, I will make a few more cards today, and put a few more up on my Etsy store in the next few days..........SO CHEERS to St. Patty's Day!!!!!! Celebrating my Blessings!!!!!!! This little card "Shamrocks Galore 2" was like one of the cards sold yesterday. Only difference I used a sprelli background wrapping thread around to form a circle. Shamrocks stamped and punched on the front. The inside of the card says "Celebrate Your Blessings"

Making Chicken soup today.....a warm dish for a cold and snowy day.......I don't have a special recipe for my chicken soup cause every pot I make is different from the other......like to use lots of spices, today so far, there's onions, a chicken thigh and leg, garlic, celery leaves, carrots and onion soup mix. Took it to a boil then turned down the heat to simmer. Once the chicken is cooked I'll take it out and debone then turn up the heat and add the noodles, boil a bit and turn down the heat again............WA LA a wonderful chicken soup!!!!!!

Today, seems to be a snow day, not going any place so maybe I will straighten up the house a little and go make some cards and excercise a bit today. So talk to you later and take care and TAKE JESUS!!!!!

U-Caught-My-Eye

Got one of those great messages this morning that made my day. One of my Card sets made it to a treasury. If you will go to: www.etsy.com/treasury/4d434e21752b6d91b5cbd589/u-caught-my-eye you can see my cards there....Flower Power!!!!

Gosh that was a long address, but, yes that long address will take you to the U-caught-my-eye treasury........enjoy! The other artists are from Wisconsin also, so have fun browsing.

Will be adding another Valentine card to my Etsy store tonight, perhaps that will be all I will do for Valentines. Next on the agenda is making St. Patrick Cards, I am not irish, but still in all, aren't we all Irish when St. Pat's comes around? Go Green and gold......Go Packers!!!!

Have a great day...........cheers........Louise
