After the surgery, I was surprised that my Left eye was still a bit blurry. When I got home, I sat down in the lazy boy and konked out for 3 hours. I should have put drops in my eyes when I got home....but sleep took over first. About 1:00pm I finally put drops in my eyes, things were still blurry. I called the Doctor's office to find out what the problem was. The Doctor was emailed and had the nurse call me back to say....."that was normal, not to worry." Okay.....I shall not worry.
When I went in yesterday for the Post-op appointment.....the Doctor checked my eyes and said the Left eye was just a little swollen and should be fine by Friday or Saturday. He said that every eye is different and each one reacts differently. Eyes are like snowflakes....everyone is different.
As my Right eye did not react like this, and everything was clear right away....I just figured the Left eye would do the same. After all.....both eyes are in the same head......right??? Nope....the Left eye had to be different and act up. But now...the second day after surgery I can say that the film that was over my eye, is gone and everything is clear.
The next problem I faced was...I could not read....everything was a blur, I could not read anything on the computer, could not read my drops-chart to see which drops to put in my eyes....uge, I had to use a magnifying glass....if that was not frustrating, I don't know what is.
Doctor gave me a pair of reading glasses to try on....2.50 in strength and handed me a chart to read.....oh my goodness, I could read!!! I was so happy....my next appointment is on the 13th of August for another check-up on the eyes. My finale post-op appointment is the 25th of August.
After the appointment, JP and I stopped off at Shopko.... yes, I bought a new pair of reading glasses and a new pair of sunglasses. I spent $31.....that sure is a good price, considering I don't have to buy glasses that could run maybe $100 not including the lenses. Yes, I think this Cataract surgery is quite the miracle from God!!!
Here is a smile for you and for me.....yes.....take some fat too!!!!
Everyone needs a friend who understands.......
I got this picture from Patty.....yep that could be me someday.....gosh, she looks comfy...look at her using an I-pad...I need one of those.....someday.
So yeah.....have a great weekend and a Happy Saturday too. Keep looking up! Cheers ~ Louise

Good Morning Louise,
This is Saturday and I hope your eye is good and clear. Mine did the same thing. The first eye I came through with flying colors and the second eye took all of six weeks to get back to normal.
My blood pressure was higher the second time too. :)
I don't know why the second surgery is harder.
Just rest, I think that is the best thing. You are doing wonderful.
I am so relieved all of your surgeries are over now.
I'm happy all the eye stuff is behind you except for follow ups. The reading glasses will help you. I picked up a pair at the drugstore and wore them until things righted themselves. Thanks for the update. I have been thinking about you.
Hi Louise..
Oh am glad you r doing ok..

hugs,patty
Louise, Good news on your surgery. My BP is higher when around drs. , dentist...you know. Hope your recovery continues to be great. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Hi Kim...Thanks for the encouragement. Yes my left eye is getting better. One more week of drops in the right eye and 3 weeks of drops in the left eye. This sure has been a long hard haul...but we shall overcome.. Rest sounds like a good thing...but the house sure is taking a beating.
Hi Brenda, Yes, I am happy the eye stuff is all behind me. Just drops and two more visits to the eye doctor. Thanks for thinking of me.
Hi Patty, Thanks and thanks on the banner too.
Hi Susie, My BP is always up when I see the Doctor. Guess it is the "white coat syndrome" Thanks on the recovery....blessings!!
oh good Louise..so glad you can read (:)
on the UK stuff well Google says they will do it on our blogs but i don't see it..plus it may just be needed for people who us ad sense too?
hugs,Patty
Hey Louise - just catching up and am so glad that the surgery went well, and two buy two pairs of glasses for $31 is the icing on the cake! My glasses cost me $545 - I am blind so I have to pay extra to get the lens thin so they aren't too heavy on my face - and I only wear them at home!
Hugs!
Hi Patty...yes, just bought another pair of reading glasses (3 pair now....much too much fun, a red pair, blue pair and purple pair). Guess, will wait to see what Google does on the UK stuff...I don't have ad sense, so maybe I don't have to worry.
Hi Biz. Oh I know...a New pair of glasses is really expensive. Having fun buying these reading glasses though and much cheaper.
YES SINCE we don't have the 'ad sense' we may be fine..
oh the glass hunt ..fun Louise (:) colored ones I love them too have ..pink,purple,tortoise,green,orange,blue
.....red is hard to find don't have a red right now..darn ..I love the red ones ..(:)
haha..I found several inexpensive sets of 3 at ROSS..

Hi Patty...oh good. I think everytime I hit a store, I shall check out the reading glasses and sunglasses....I feel like I got a new lease on life and a little bit of freedom to look different each day with different glasses.
